Neigh Savers Foundation creates new beginnings for unwanted horses

Neigh Savers Foundation creates new beginnings for unwanted horses. Through rescue, rehabilitation and retraining we provide the foundation needed for these horses to successfully transition to a new career. We empower the spirit of the horse to allow each animal to fulfill their purpose. From trail riding to show jumper, therapy horse to eventer, each horse has the potential to succeed in a second career.

Neigh Savers Foundation, Inc., is a certified 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to the wellbeing of the horse. Once a Thoroughbred only rescue, as of October 2015, Neigh Savers is now an all breed rescue. We do our best to help the most at-risk horses, including working with humane officers on animal neglect cases, attending low-end auctions where horses enter the slaughter pipeline, and private party surrenders. Since its inception in 2007, Neigh Savers has improved the lives of nearly 600 horses.

Neigh Savers is making a shift from our model of rescue-rehab-retrain-adopt and now also offers Equine Assisted Therapy courses at our facility located at Bear Creek Stables, Los Gatos.  More info on this program and course offerings can be found by clicking on the Equine Assisted Therapy tab.  In addition, we are working with local high school students teaching them Equine Empowerment and horse care.
