Terry Koehne will assume the job of Sergeant-at-Arms. And in a momentous move, Julie McKinney will take on the duties of Treasurer, replacing Geoff Disch after 25 years of service. (It will be interesting to see if Geoff’s decision to put all the Club’s money into cryptocurrency paid off.) Mike announced he was going to conduct a Club Assessment of the members. We will be accepting credit cards for payment of dues. We are looking at a possible Fashion Show fund-raiser. Mike wants to make more of a big deal of new members in the club and to honor their sponsors. He plans to use a small group to select speakers and assign Greeters. He hopes to be engaging and open-minded. It sounds as if we are in for an exciting time. Oh, and the new president of Rotary International is our first woman, Jennifer Jones, and her motto is “Imagine Rotary.” The Raffle was won by Mike Thelan and our guest, Carl Rosenblum drew blue. This correspondent wishes to thank the Rotarians who peeled him off the pavement in the parking lot, particularly Chris Gallagher and Terry Koehne who are a lot stronger than they look. |
