Iron Horse Trail Project

This is a community project that is a collaborative project with the City of San Ramon to enhance the Iron Horse Trail through the installation of ten (10) a rest nodes featuring benches, trees, scrubs and irrigation.  The project will entail a joint Rotary club workday project featuring a cleanup campaign along the trail with Cal High Interact and San Ramon Scouts.

The Rotary Club will purchase benches, trees and scrubs which will be planted and installed on the designated work day estimated to be in the Fall of 2015.  The Rotary emblem will be burned into the benches and the San Ramon Rotary Club will commit to a three-year period of maintaining a selected node(s).  A sign at the Alameda/Contra Costa County line on the trail will be installed indicating Rotary’s contribution to the rest nodes and sharing Rotary’s objectives to promote service to our community and the world.
