Greeter: Jerry Marrs gave us our “Thought for the Day”: By collecting and sponsoring for our On-Line Auction you can step-up and make a difference. We need 350 more items by September 15. So get Busy! Jerry is an estate planning attorney and arbitrator.
Patriotic Song: Don Jones led us in “God Bless America”.
Announcements: Cal Football vs. Oregon “Rotary Day” is September 29.
 Six Club Meeting Is Tuesday, October 16. Dinner speaker to be announced.  We may be “dark” that Thursday, but this is to be determined also. (I guess we are not so good at decision making).
August Golf Outing: Our club’s golfers, Glen Weber, Jeff Disch, Chris Gayler, Dennis Harvey and Gary Sloan had a great time a guests of John Tatum.
Resumes: Ana Dominguez wants resumes of those who are greeters so she can  include them in the Crow’s Call.
 
Priya would like club stories as she is preparing a publicity campaign.
Recruitment: Dennis Harvey points out we need to attract, no recruit, not only new members but those willing to take on the various club activities. The membership committee meets at Green Escrow.
 
Recognitions: A few were AWOL and thereby dodged a bullet, but John Milich, Jerry
              Marrs , Marco and Ray got hit for various birthdays and anniversaries.
Paul Harris Fellow: Ray Giles eloquently described the history and good deeds of the Rotary Foundation which has developed from $24.00 to over 4 billion since 1917 for the betterment of humanity around the globe. Glen Weber’s son-in law, Alastair Watson, was then awarded his Paul Harris Certificate and pin to the applause of all present.
PROGRAM: Edgardo had been billed for the program, but at his doctor’s orders he was not quite able to attend.
 
Raffle: Colette won the Greeter’s Gift, and Guy Greco won the Progressive, but failed to take the grand prize of $260. Better luck next time!
